No we don't store your data. Our tools process all your information directly in your web browser. Your UEN, mobile number, and payment details are never sent to or stored on our servers. The moment you close the page, the information is gone.

No, we are an independent developer providing tools for convenience. We are not affiliated with PayNow, the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), or any financial institution. The actual payment is always handled securely by the customer's and recipient's banks.

The PayNow network itself has no transaction fees. Our online generator and Android app are 100% free to use. The premium WooCommerce Plugin is a low monthly purchase that allows you to automate payments on your e-commerce store, saving you thousands in percentage-based fees from other gateways.

By default, QR codes expire in 24 hours to reduce accidental double payments. You can change this when generating a QR code to 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, or choose no expiry.

Not any more. Since 6 June 2026, PayNow no longer shows full names or nicknames for personal (mobile number or NRIC) recipients. When a customer scans your QR code, their banking app shows only selected letters of the name registered to your bank account, with the rest replaced by "X". For example, "Chan Shi Hui Jacqueline" appears as "ChXX ShX HuX JacquXXXXX". You cannot choose which letters are shown, and nicknames can no longer be set. This change was made by the Association of Banks in Singapore to prevent impersonation scams while protecting your privacy. Business recipients using a UEN are not affected: their full registered business name is still displayed.

No. Every QR code from this generator carries a fixed amount, and the code is marked so the payer cannot change it in their banking app. That is the whole point of the tool: the customer pays exactly what you asked for, with your reference attached, so there is nothing to chase or reconcile. If you want to collect open amounts, such as donations or tips, use the static PayNow QR code that your own banking app provides for your mobile number or UEN. The payer types in any amount, but that code cannot carry a reference.
